Legal Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support a wide range of legal practices, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more. Duties

Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation.

Support attorneys in drafting legal documents across various practice areas including employment law, family law, patent law, workers' compensation law, and more.

Coordinate with clients and external agencies to facilitate communication and document submission.
Experience

Paralegal experience or similar legal administrative experience is required.
Proven knowledge of diverse practice areas including litigation, transactual law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.
Familiarity with legal case management software such as PCLaw or similar platforms.
Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis for case law and legal precedents.
Experience working with document management systems like iManage or comparable platforms.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Excellent writing skills for drafting memos, reports, and correspondence.
Proficiency in proofreading and transcription to ensure clarity and accuracy of legal documents.
Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records efficiently.
Knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), land use regulations, and other specialized legal fields is advantageous but not mandatory. ISO Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the payroll life cycle of 250+ employees, from data entry of new hires, to conducting new hire orientation as it pertains to payroll procedures. Will provide guidance, as well as problem solving services for various managers as it relates to timekeeping and auditing records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform primary Payroll responsibilities of preparing, submitting and processing payroll, auditing timesheets and payroll data each weekly pay period.
Maintain and reconcile weekly incentives to ensure accurate pay out and recording.
Process employee deduction forms.
Enter and maintain new hires, terms, employee assignments in the time and attendance system.
Assist with the preparation of employee time card badge, replacements, etc.
Entry and reconciliation of weekly incentive programs.
Resolve all timekeeping questions for employees & managers.
Performs other related duties as required.
Audit & Submit weekly invoices to A/P departments.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years’ experience in Payroll Processing, Time and Attendance Systems, Timerack is a plus
Demonstrated proficiency in various systems, including report writing, as well as strong proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Outlook
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with the high volume Payroll and HR tracking systems.

*Report to Building Engineer to assist with Inspection of building systems including fire alarm, fire sprinkler, HVAC, electrical and plumbing
