Rekhi & Wolk is investigating potential claims for consumers who paid unlawful tariffs.

A U.S. Supreme Court ruling (Feb. 20, 2026) struck down a major set of Trump’s tariffs imposed under IEEPA, creating the possibility that some duties already collected could be refundable depending on how the aftermath is implemented.

The process of charging duties and tariffs has been chaotic, and many consumers have reported wrongful tariff classifications, overstating of duties, or otherwise unfair practices from major carriers.

When we tell people about the work we do, we often get asked what does systemic discrimination looks like. Here is an article about the WSP that touches on those issue. How the systems in place contribute to discrimination and the friction with dismantling those systems. Its a great read about how hard it is to make change.

The Washington State Patrol, a century old this year, doesn’t look a lot different than when it started: white and male. For years, people inside and outside WSP have warned one part of the hiring process rejects good candidates.

We have seen a disturbing trend of for-profit companies using well-meaning people to "volunteer." Clever companies have convinced Washington employees to work for free by claiming the workers are "volunteers." These companies do not pay these employees even though the companies are making a profit off of their labor.
