Around API, Kimberly Kadriu has earned a pretty special comparison: our own Radar O’Reilly.*

As our Administrative Assistant, she has a knack for anticipating what’s needed and getting it done before the rest of us even realize we need it.

Kim brings a fresh perspective to our team. She’s observant, likes to connect the dots and is always looking for ways to make our work more efficient without losing the details.

She also wants to understand the why behind what we do. That curiosity shows in her work and in the care and professionalism she brings to our candidates.

And she always seems to show up with a smile and a good attitude. She’s quick to laugh, eager to help and simply a pleasure to work with.

A small moment on our team recently made our President proud.

A team member wasn't sure what a colleague meant. Instead of making assumptions, they went directly to that person and talked it through.

Jennifer Pickerel saw it as a culture win, and it made her wonder how we know our investment in people is working.

Flight departments track aircraft availability, maintenance, safety and budgets. But how do we know how our people are doing?

Development goals and workload tell part of the story. So do everyday conversations, concerns raised early and misunderstandings worked through.

"People don't come with warning lights," Jennifer writes. We have to pay attention.

At API, we talk with aviation professionals every day who are ready for something more.

And “more” doesn’t always mean a bigger title.

It might mean working for a leader who trusts you or having more opportunity for impact. Maybe you’d finally achieve the work/life balance you’ve been missing.

Or maybe you want to learn something new, take on different responsibilities or join a team where you see a future.

So, yes, consider the title and compensation. But don’t stop there.

Think about who you’ll work for, how you’ll be treated and whether you’ll have room to grow. The right move isn’t always the one with the biggest title.
