• Assist on the end of the Binder
• Maintains and sort end boards
• Move up stock and back up skids
• Assist on belt when trimmer goes down
• A team player with great interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• The ability to read and write English
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and verbally
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions

Key Responsibilities:
- Charge furnaces with magnesium scrap, ingots, and alloying materials according to production specifications.
- Monitor furnace temperatures and melt characteristics to ensure optimal melting conditions.
- Skim dross and impurities from molten magnesium to ensure cleanliness of the melt.
- Tap furnaces safely and accurately into molds, holding furnaces, or casting lines.
- Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts to transport materials as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on melt deck equipment.
- Monitor and record process data such as temperatures, times, and weights.
- Follow all plant safety procedures including the use of PPE and safe handling of molten metal.
- Communicate with supervisors and quality control personnel to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training and improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in high-temperature environments.
- Forklift and/or crane operation certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment:
- Heavy industrial setting with exposure to high heat, noise, and airborne particles.
- Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
