ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs set-ups and operates various types of machinery including but not limited to saws, lasers, press brakes, tube lasers, shears, and automated bend cells
· Ensures quality of product by meeting engineering specifications
· Completes mechanical assembly as instructed/trained
· Programs machines to execute functions
· Completes preventative maintenance tasks
· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to operate one to three different types of machinery
· Basic troubleshooting of equipment and part configuration to ensure quality compliance with minimal assistance
· Ability to flex to operate on trained machines when necessary
· Understanding mechanical drawings preferred
· Ability to operate hand tools required
· Understands angles and the use of a protractor preferred
· Ability to read calibration equipment including but not limited to micrometers and calipers preferred
· Able to pass math and measurements assessment
· Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16”
· Basic data entry computer skills and the ability to print documents
· Company issued forklift and crane certifications may be required
· Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language
· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.)
· Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Successful completion of 90-day probationary period

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Minimum of one year manufacturing machinery experience preferred.

Job Duties
- Prepare machines and equipment for painting
- Use an air sander to remove rust and rough areas from metal surfaces
- Remove weld spatter and other imperfections before equipment is painted
- Take turns pressure washing equipment using a caustic cleaning solution
- Inspect and clean surfaces to make sure they are ready for paint
- Help with general shop cleaning and housekeeping when there is no equipment waiting to be prepped
- Assist the paint department with other duties as needed

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous manufacturing, general labor, metalworking, or paint prep experience is helpful but not required
- Comfortable using hand tools and air powered sanders
- Able to perform repetitive, physical work and stay on your feet throughout the shift
- Comfortable working around dust, dirt, paint prep materials, and industrial equipment
- Dependable and willing to help wherever needed

- N95 dust masks are provided and highly recommended while performing sanding and prep work.

Responsibilities:
- Creating, updating and communicating daily production schedules
