Gender Diversity Project Gender Diversity Project is a student club at City College of San Francisco

The Gender Diversity Project is designed to work in service to, and in collaboration with, transgender communities at City College of San Francisco and beyond. Our mission is to dismantle the stereotypes that perpetuate fear, discrimination, harassment, and violence. Our goal is to work together in support, education, and advocacy projects to ensure the dignity and human rights that we all deserve

The Gender Diversity Project (GDP), a student club, holds annual events including the annual Transgender Awareness Day campus wide event

Other projects have included publication of two student designed books "Inside Out," personal narratives of trans students and "Trans Time," a history of transgender people across time and geography (available for purchase $20 each)
We also have created a" Transgender Friendly” sticker campaign to identify specific transgender safe spaces and allies on campus, hosted workshops on interrupting oppression, and completed the “Gender Diversity Project Resources for Education,” a compilation of three digital stories about the trans experience with a facilitators guide complete with information and learning activities (available to view at www.ccsf.edu/hiv/gdp).
