What’s a typical day as Production Operator? You’ll be:

Check all equipment for proper operation at shift start and communicates to the relieving shift any deviation of the normal process and any problems that might have occurred.
Understand scheduled rate quantities and the importance of obtaining each process rate.
Notifies Supervisor as soon as possible of any mechanical, process or quality problems so the proper steps may be taken to facilitate quick response.
Inspects as many parts as possible to see that all operations prior to and including their operation have been completed satisfactorily as outlined by the instructions and visual aids.
Performs normal housekeeping duties within a reasonable area of the workstation during and prior to end of scheduled shift. Keeps the station neat and reports safety hazards to the Supervisor immediately. insert responsibility #1>

Kelly Services is hiring for ASSEMBLY WORKERS / MATERIAL HANDLERS for a company in San Antonio, TX. Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse-distribution experience highly preferred. Positions are all long-term, temporary to permanent and will come with a very competitive benefits package upon hire. A pay increase may be offered based on performance.

Position: Assemblers / Material Handlers
Location: San Antonio, TX 78264
Pay: $13 hourly
Schedule: 2nd and 3rd shifts Monday thru Friday from 2 AM to 10 PM / 10 PM to 6 AM

Job Duties:
• Operate molders, grinders, trim presses, testers and other manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Perform hand operations such as trimming, assembly, soldering and packing
• Move materials, parts and/or products within the facility
• Package finished products for shipping
• Set up and modify assembly and/or test equipment layouts as required
• Maintain work areas in clean and orderly manner
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as directed by the run schedule, which may be unpredictable and on short notice of required overtime
• Must have technical learning skills
• Maintain safe work environment and follow all safety standards
• Comply with all OSHA standards and Textron health & safety standards, as well as all ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Identify waste minimization and material recycling opportunities where applicable
• Report deviations from the normal production process (machine faults, tool malfunctions, material problems, etc.)
• Perform other duties incidental to the job as directed

Requirements:
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a regular basis
• Some aspects of the job may require repetitive motion
• Significant amount of bending and twisting
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Works well in a team environment
• Customer service oriented
• Previous manufacturing experience a plus
• Minimum computer experience
