PAY RATE $19-$22 HOUR D.O.E
SHIFT: MONDAY-FRIDAY
TIME:AM SHIFT 6:00AM-3:00PM
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Grind, polish, sand and sharpen welded parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs.
Operate small electric/air hand tools.
Safely operate forklift to load and unload raw material and completed parts.
Handle assorted raw materials, steel parts, and steel scrap.
On occasion, cross-train and operate some or all of the following production equipment: welding robot, press brake, spot welder, turret, rivet gun, stud gun, and wide-belt sander.
Assist with weld kitting of parts
Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Follow all safety work rules.
Perform work in a manner that all products conform to prescribed quality standards.
Perform light maintenance on plant equipment where needed; i.e., startup/shutdown, maintain inspection records and keep work environment clean. Use and understand online ERP system for data collection, work instructions, routers, and prints.
Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and overhead work.
Employee has some exposure to fumes, glare and radiation of arc.
The employee is occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years grinding experience, preferred Ability to safely and effectively operate grinding tools such as angle grinder, DA sander, cut off wheels
Ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with personnel and read and interpret documents such as blue prints and work orders
