We love having her in the Military-Affiliated Resource Center (MARC). She helps answer questions or often solve problems that arise with veterans or benefit users. She is our group's biggest supporter not only for us but for our entire military community here in Salina.

Get to Know Your Student Affairs Team: Kimm Dennis

Kimm Dennis serves as the Veteran Benefit Specialist and School Certifying Official at Kansas State University Salina, where she helps military-connected students navigate their educational benefits and access the resources they need to succeed.

Kimm works closely with veterans, active-duty service members, sponsored students, and their families to provide guidance and support throughout their academic journey. Kimm assists students in understanding and utilizing their benefits, manages VA and sponsored flight accounts, and helps connect students with the resources they need to overcome challenges and stay on track toward their goals.

Some of our members helped others today after the storm that swept through Salina. Our alumni members helped, our current members and one who is our new president for the 26-27 yr. Luckily no major damage for our veterans in the community.

Last night was casino night 🎲 Kansas State University Salina Not only were affiliated students in attendance but several former students turned facility helped with games!

Growing connections and staying involved is a big perk for many students!

April is the Month of the Military Child 💜 We honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of military children who proudly serve alongside their families every day.

Over the last month, The Student Veterans here on campus came together to help a fellow veteran and his family in need. On February 24th, a fire destroyed this veteran's family home, which is currently under construction. The camper the family members were living in, and the shed with a large collection of collectables and materials for continuing the remodel, were lost. Luckily, no lives were lost in this fire. But it has been a rough month. Throughout the month, not only has this veteran given his time on weekends and evenings to help his family, but several others have as well.

The family is greatly thankful for the veterans' help in getting the fire cleaned up and moved outta the way, while they run to the dump, bag trash, and sort through metal that can be recycled.

Coming together for another member is a vital key for this group. They often give each other any and all help they can.
