A long-time goal became a reality for Crecencio!
Danya Dent, PTA, with OCCK, Inc’s In My Home - partnered with Salina Breakfast Ambucs to find an adaptive tricycle that was the right fit for Crecencio D., who receives Brain Injury services through OCCK, inc.

Danya worked through the process alongside Dave Tangeman with AMBUCS to make sure Crecencio had a tricycle that supported his needs and gave him the chance to enjoy cycling!

Cycling can support movement, visual coordination, and overall wellness but most importantly, it’s just plain fun!

We are so grateful for staff who go the extra mile and for community partnerships that make moments like this possible

In the article, Brooke shares helpful information about early detection, caregiver support, brain health, and local resources available through OCCK and the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.

These conversations can feel overwhelming, but Brooke’s work helps make sure people know they have support, guidance, and someone to help them navigate.
