As we celebrate the incredible people who help guide our mission, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to Ariel Noesi as he concludes his four years of service on the North Shore CDC Board of Directors.

As a Board Member and former Treasurer, Ariel brought thoughtful leadership, financial expertise, and unwavering support to our organization. His steady guidance was especially meaningful during our 2024 leadership transition, helping ensure our continued strength and success. 🏆

Thank you, Ariel, for your dedication, partnership, and commitment to our community. Your impact will be felt for years to come, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter! 🩷

An unforgettable evening of storytelling, reflection, and community 💐

Thank you to everyone who joined The Nature of Mothers at the Salem Athenaeum and to the incredible storytellers who shared such personal, heartfelt stories about motherhood in all its forms. We’re especially proud of NSCDC CEO Felicia S. Pierce for representing our community and bringing her voice to such a meaningful night.

Here’s a look back at an evening full of connection, honesty, and shared experiences ❤️

From storm drain stenciling and neighborhood clean-ups to designing a life-sized interactive game, our YouthBuild participants turned real community experience into something powerful. 🌊🎲

Over 10 weeks, these young leaders worked alongside Salem Sound Coastwatch to help create “Sidewalk to Sea” a hands-on game that teaches players how pollution travels through our watershed and how communities can take action to protect our environment. 🪼🐟

We’re incredibly proud of the creativity, teamwork, and dedication our YouthBuild students brought to this project, from testing prototypes to contributing graphic design and gameplay ideas that helped shape the final experience!

A huge thank you to Salem Sound Coastwatch for your continued partnership and for creating meaningful opportunities for our young people to learn, lead, and make an impact in their community. 💙
