JOB POSTING FOR MACHINE DESIGNER:

Stork Technical Staffing Inc. is seeking a Machine Designer for one of its rapidly growing customer.
This position will involve the design of mechanical large custom machinery using 3D software (SolidWorks). This person will work closely with customers on design specifications and will also test manufacturing and assembly methods as well as materials. The Machine Design Engineer will develop drawings for fabricating, building and assembling equipment in addition to designing testing methods to ensure quality standards are met. Design responsibilities will include both new equipment design as well as design modification of existing equipment.

Founded in 1987 and under Michigan based DDI Engineering Inc. family ownership, Stork Technical Staffing Inc. supplied great service for its customers.

Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years related experience with SolidWorks is necessary.
-Excellent communication skills are essential.
-Good work ethic.
-Related experience with a machine shop is desired.
-Experience designing machining/assembly equipment, tooling, machined parts and other complex products.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Stork Technical Staffing Inc. (Saginaw, MI)
compensation: Negotiable
employment type: full-time

We are looking for a Design Engineer to work in the engineering group. Prefer experience in multi-layer barrier extrusion and thermoforming or other experience in plastic converting (IM, Blow Molding, Extrusion). Responsibilities include but not limited to: Machine design including machine concept, quotation, drawing creation, design review, and final drawing creation. Overseeing bidding and fabrication. Participate in tooling design and assist with mechanical details and tolerances. Assist with design improvements to existing equipment and tooling as well as the process as needed.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
2-5 years' experience in mechanical or machine design
Skilled in 3D design software, prefer Solid Works
Power transmission and complex mechanical mechanism design
Pneumatic components and circuit design
Working knowledge of finite element analysis
Servo system integration experience a plus
Knowledge of plastic thermoforming a plus
Robotics and vision system knowledge a plus
