We have immediate openings for Animal Care Specialists in Saginaw.
Schedule: 7 days a week (flexibility required, including weekends). The following shifts are available 7:30am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-6:00pm.
Animal Care Specialists are responsible for the daily care and handling of animals in the shelter . This includes feeding, cleaning kennels, monitoring animal health and behavior, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role also involves some custodial duties and interaction with members of the public.
You must have the following experience and skills:
Exercising dogs and providing enrichment.
Facilitating playgroups and monitoring animal interactions.
Supporting adoption efforts, including assisting potential adopters and facilitating meet-and -greets.
Must be compassionate, reliable, and confident working with animals.
Must be comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent noise (including barking dogs).
High School diploma or equivalent is required
