FDA Issues Urgent Recall for Baby Formula Due to Dangerous Bacteria

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an updated recall warning after discovering a potentially deadly bacterium in certain baby formula products.

Dairy Manufacturers Inc., located in Prosper, Texas, initially alerted the public on May 24 regarding their Crecelac and Farmalac infant formula products. The company stated that these products had not been evaluated by the FDA for compliance with U.S. food safety and nutritional standards.

Parents and caregivers are advised to stop using these products immediately and to seek medical advice if any health concerns arise. The FDA continues to investigate the matter to ensure consumer safety.
