The Rolesville Business Alliance (RBA) gives Rolesville area business leaders the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience and spirit-of-giving in a collaborative partnership with our community and the educators and students at Rolesville Middle and High Schools. RBA members enhance the school-to-career transition of every student as they prepare for college, career and citizenship in thei
r community. The career and life expertise of the business leaders provide students with the relevancy between education and future careers. Through career-related events, businesses can help prepare students to be future employees within the greater Rolesville community. With leadership and involvement by the Rolesville Business Alliance, middle school students are involved in introductory career fairs and activities that expose them to the variety of career clusters. They may also take field trips to local businesses and learn from guest speakers who visit classrooms. The high school level affords more opportunities such as resume reviews, practice interviews, job shadow programs, internships, financial simulation activities and larger career fairs. The Rolesville Business Alliance is comprised of local business leaders, the Career Development Coordinator and administrators from each school. Business members can expect a nominal time commitment of approximately 1-2 hours a month during the school year, either in monthly alliance meetings with key school personnel, or in direct participation in a career-based alliance activity. The immediate result of this partnership is to help prepare every student to make responsible, productive career choices, by assisting with school-based and work-based activities. The end result is preparing students for a career of their choice, ultimately benefiting the employers within the greater Rolesville community.
