Most people don't quit because the job is bad. They quit because the job is hard and nobody's checking on them.

Ronald Russell was working an assembly line at MBUSI. Long days. Physical work. He thought about quitting at least once a week.

Here's what kept him going:
• His Ōnin rep picked up the phone when he called
• They encouraged him to push through... not a pep talk, a real conversation
• They showed up for the hard weeks, not just the first day

Eighteen months later, Ronald is a full-time MBUSI employee.

"Onin staffing truly was my gateway to success." — Ronald Russell

The job was always within reach. So was someone in his corner.

Feeling overwhelmed by a crisis? You’re not alone, and it’s okay to reach out for help. Many workplaces offer Employer Assistance Programs (EAPs) that are often overlooked but can be a lifeline during tough times. Here’s how to use them effectively:

Understand what’s available. EAPs usually offer free, confidential support ranging from mental health counseling to financial advice. Don’t hesitate to ask your HR department for details on what’s included—you might be surprised by the range of services.

Make the call. It can be intimidating, but remember, these services are there to support you through crisis moments. Most EAPs are accessible 24/7 and are designed to respect your privacy.

Plan your approach. Write down a list of things you want to discuss when you call. This can help you focus and make the most of your time with the counselor or advisor.

Have you ever used your EAP? How did it help you out? Share your stories below—I’d love to hear what insights you have! Your experience might just be what someone else needs to hear today.

Life has a way of throwing curveballs when we least expect them. To stay afloat during tough times, having a financial contingency plan is key. It's not just for the wealthy—anyone can build one.

First, list your monthly income and essential expenses like rent, groceries, and bills. Knowing your numbers helps in emergencies.

Next, create a savings buffer by setting aside a small amount each pay period. It doesn’t have to be a lot—even a few dollars here and there adds up over time.

Also, identify expenses you can cut back on without sacrificing too much.

Finally, consider additional income streams. Whether it’s a side job or selling unused items, every bit helps.

What’s one step you've taken to secure your financial future? Share in the comments, let's learn together!

Want to slash those utility bills without shivering through winter or sweating in summer? Here's how you do it smartly:

First, seal the deal by weatherstripping windows and doors. It’s like putting on a sweater to keep warm. Next, consider switching to energy-efficient LED bulbs. They cost a bit more upfront but save you loads in the long run.

Check your water heater—setting it to 120 degrees Fahrenheit can cut costs. And while you're at it, fix those leaky faucets. Drips seem small, but they add up fast.

Feeling crafty? Use thick curtains to keep heat in during winter and out during summer. It’s all about working with what you've got.

Got some tips from fighting the good fight against high bills? Share them with us! Let’s help each other live comfortably without breaking the bank.

Looking for a better paycheck? Here’s the scoop on where you might find it. The industries offering some of the best pay for entry-level workers include technology, healthcare, construction, and advanced manufacturing. In tech, roles like support specialist or customer service in software companies can set you off on the right footing. Healthcare is another big one—think positions like medical assistants or pharmacy technicians.

Then there's construction, where even starting positions often come with competitive wages and plenty of room to grow. Advanced manufacturing doesn't just offer entry-level pay but also paths to elevate your skills and income.

If you’ve worked within these industries, what’s been your experience with pay? Let’s hear your stories below! Sharing could help someone get on a path to better pay.

When you're choosing a health plan, there's a lot more than just the monthly premiums to think about. Let’s break it down without the jargon.

First, consider what's most important to you and your family. Do you often visit the doctor, need specialists, or require regular prescriptions? Check if these are covered extensively in the plan you’re eyeing. No one likes surprises, especially when it comes to medical bills.

Next, factor in out-of-pocket costs. This includes deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Knowing these ahead keeps you from unexpected expenses.

Also, ensure your preferred doctors and healthcare providers are in-network. Going outside the network can cost more.

Finally, look at any added benefits like wellness programs or discounts on health services. Sometimes the extras can tip the balance in favor of a particular plan.

What's a health plan feature you can't live without? Share your thoughts with us! Your insights can help others navigate their choices.

Crafting a resume that actually gets attention isn't rocket science, but there are some common mistakes you want to dodge.

First, avoid cramming in too much information—brevity wins. Your resume isn't your autobiography. Focus on real achievements that relate to the job you want.

Second, tailor each resume. Sending the same one to every employer may save time, but it won’t land you the job. Show you’ve done your homework by aligning your skills with what the company needs.

Third, double-check for errors. A simple typo can cost you. Treat your resume like the important document it is.

Lastly, skip the fluff. Personal interests and generic objectives aren't selling points. Highlight skills that prove your capabilities and potential.

Feeling stuck after another uneventful interview? It's time to get real with your questions and find out if a company’s values truly align with yours before you commit. Here's how to dig a little deeper:

Start by asking about employee growth. “Can you share examples of how the company supports skill development and career progression?” This opens up a conversation about training, promotions, and leadership investment.

Next, hit them with, “What does the company prioritize while making decisions?” It gets to the heart of their day-to-day priorities and whether they value people over profits.

Finally, ask about diversity and inclusion. “How does the company foster an inclusive environment?” The response will tell you if they walk the talk or if it’s just corporate fluff.

What do you think? Have other questions worked for you? Let us know how you gauge company values and keep moving forward in finding the right fit!

Take a moment to step back and see where your energy is being drained. Is it too much work, stress at home, or no time for yourself? You deserve a life you can enjoy, not just endure.

Small changes like setting boundaries, prioritizing rest, and reaching out for support can make a big difference. Don’t wait till you’re completely burnt out to start taking care of you.

Have you ever experienced burnout? How did you deal with it? Share your thoughts below, and let’s support each other in finding balance.

Do your financial concerns feel like an endless loop? It's time to take a closer look at what your workplace offers. Financial wellness programs can be game-changers. But how do you pick the right one?

Look for programs that offer clear, easy-to-understand financial education. Think about everyday budgeting tips or managing debt. It should provide real tools you can use today, not just tomorrow.

Next, see if they offer personalized advice. You deserve support that considers your unique situation, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Last but not least, check if they offer support for stress management. Financial problems often lead to mental strain. A great program will help alleviate both.

What about your workplace? Do they offer a wellness program that ticks these boxes? If not, it might be time to start the conversation.

Share your thoughts or experiences with financial programs below. Let’s learn from each other!

Speaking up at work can feel daunting, but your concerns matter. Here’s a simple guide to effectively communicating with management:

First, be clear about your issue. Define what's bothering you and why it matters. Understanding your own concern is crucial before bringing it up.

Next, pick the right time and place. Catching your manager during a busy moment might not lead to a productive talk. Plan for a sit-down when they can give you their full attention.

When you speak, stick to the facts. Describe what's happening and how it affects your work, without making it personal.

Suggest solutions! Offering a potential fix shows you're proactive and want to help improve the situation.

Finally, stay open to feedback. Management might offer insights you hadn't considered.

Have you tried any of these tips before? Share your experiences or thoughts below! Let's learn from one another.
