Job Summary: The Registrar is responsible for the business aspect of the department as well as the patient focused care delivery within the department. Activities include: registration, insurance verification and notification, updating of financial and demographic information, reception and other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Greet and direct patients, visitors, and staff. • Answers telephones promptly and courteously. Directs calls to appropriate personnel and/or departments, takes messages and assures delivery of same. • Collects and distributes patient referral information received from affiliated physicians. • Es**rts visitors and patients to appropriate areas; provides information to assist patient and/or visitors. • Is open and responsive to the diverse backgrounds and experience of other people and promotes an environment that is sensitive to cultural diversity. • Distributes departmental reading material such as Emergency Department brochure, Health Care Proxy and Patient Bill of Rights. Ensures such documents are readily available. • Registers patients by updating or entering patient demographic, financial information and emergency contact data into the computer system. • Verifies demographic information and insurance coverage by interviewing patient/family member/friend. • According to policy and established procedure generates patients' chart and attaches pertinent information such as Emerg Card, Medicaid threshold and EMS sheet, etc. • According to policy and established procedure reviews discharged patient charts for diagnosis, physician signature, dictation code, menu and appropriate forms for completion. • According to established policy and procedure processes specimens for laboratory(ies) by assuring that specimens are appropriately labeled, forms are competed and identification processes have been followed. • File charts and retrieve old records. • Retrieves completed charts, addressograph plate and all supporting documents from patient treatment area. • Enters data into required computerized system. • Maintains patient recall file. • According to policy and established procedures insured that all papers, forms, etc. are stamped appropriately. • Logs patients on/in to the appropriate registration sheets/logs. Reconcile log books. • Obtains signatures for consent. • Makes clinic appointments. • Other duties as assigned. Shared Duties and Responsibilities Across Department • Greet visitors and answer telephones promptly and courteously. Es**rt visitors to appropriate area, when necessary. Provide information and make referrals when appropriate. • Answer Call System and refer to appropriate staff. • Maintain a safe, clean and functional environment, including removing trash and bringing physical plant and equipment problems to the attention of the managers. • Transport patients on stretchers or wheelchairs, as required. • Assists in interpreting, as required by current protocols.
Skills: • 6-9 months of health care experience in order to become familiar with institutional policies and procedures preferred. • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the department and patients. • Work requires a high school level of knowledge (graduate or equivalent) in order to prepare reports, keep records and deal effectively with people. • Knowledge of keyboard and basic computer skills. • Ability to set priorities, problem solve, use proper judgment in difficult situations and be flexible. • Sufficient oral and writing skills in the English language in order to communicate effectively.

As a part of our Expert Recall Customer Care team, you will play an integral part in the communication with customers in a Recall event. This position is in a contact center environment and requires you to be readily available to assist customers via inbound phone calls. This position will be responsible for professionally answering multiple calls for a variety of clients, providing a superior level of customer service and responding professionally, effectively and efficiently throughout the process, while accurately documenting details and notes in the customer database system. What our professionals do to make a difference: Provide exceptional customer service at all times over the phone, strengthen clients' brands by responding to customer inquiries, processing requests, and always striving to surpass expectations; Update customer database systems by typing record changes, diary note entries, and workflow case to completion, ensuring accuracy of all entries; Escalate issues to manager as appropriate; Ensure courteous quality of service on all phone calls; Ability to multi-task with phone and computer; Adhere to company policies and responsibly manage time & attendance. No time off can be granted during first 3 weeks of assignment. The role could ultimately lead to a full time job offer with Stericycle, if performance, attendance and other requirements are met/exceeded.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED equivalent, Some college course work preferred but not required, 1+ years of experience in a call/contact center, customer service or related customer-facing role; Solid verbal communication skills with professional telephone etiquette; Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and with appropriate patience; Basic math, reading, writing, organizational skills, and problem solving capabilities; Type 25+ WPM, meet required data entry and customer service experience assessments; Flexibility to work nights, weekends and alternate schedules/shifts is a plus; Bi-lingual is a plus. DRESS CODE: Relaxed casual. Sneakers and clean, non-ripped jeans are OK; no tank tops, shorts, flip flops/sandals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Perform Quality Control Duties to insure process compliance.
•Insure Load Plans are Accurate and Complete.
•Maintain and Complete daily documents required.
•Track sharps shipping manifests for completion.
•Unload waste from incoming vehicles.
•Stage waste containers for scanning in the Bio Track system.
•Scan waste into the Bio Track system for proper recordkeeping purposes.
•Decontaminates vehicles cargo-carrying portion, reloads assigned re-usable tubs and insures cargo-carrying portion of vehicle does not have free liquid on the floor. Informs plant supervisor the vehicle is ready to be moved from dock area.
•Insures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.
•Assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed.

•High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
•Two or more years of related experience or training or combination of experience and training, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact.
•Demonstrates knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.

Desired but NOT required:
•Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
•Demonstrates the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift.

We are currently seeking a Plant Worker to ensure all waste is unloaded from vehicles, the vehicles are decontaminated, and waste is properly staged for scanning and processing. The individual will perform the duties in a safe and productive manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Unload waste from incoming vehicles. Separates non-autoclavable waste to be incinerated.
•Stage waste on conveyor system or properly stack waste for scanning in the Biotrack system.
•Scan waste into the Biotrack system for proper recordkeeping purposes.
•Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
•Place re-usable containers on tub wash line for decontamination.
•Operates tub wash unit insuring the wash unit is operating properly. Removes clean tubs from wash unit, inspects tubs and stacks for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use.
•Operates tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs insuring the unit is operating properly. Inspects tubs and stacks for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use.
•Decontaminates vehicles cargo-carrying portion, reloads assigned re-usable tubs and insures cargo-carrying portion of vehicle does not have free liquid on the floor. Informs plant supervisor the vehicle is ready to be moved from dock area.
•Insures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.
•Assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed.

Education and Experience:
•One year related experience or training or combination of experience and training, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact.
•Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds.
•Demonstrates knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
•Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.

Desired but not required:
•Demonstrates the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift.
