JobsRUs.com seeks Maintenance Technicians for a premier Woodstock, IL, Food Manufacturing company.

Pay: $28.50/hour
2nd shift 2pm to 1am M-F, and some overtime on Saturdays

Job Summary:
Must meet all requirements of a mechanic. Performs preventative maintenance, normal maintenance, and emergency and normal repairs on plant equipment, utilities, and facilities as required or needed. Fabricate and install various pieces of equipment and rebuild equipment as necessary. Perform pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, electronic installations, and repairs with other mechanics. Performs all tasks safely and efficiently. Ensure quality product is produced and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Must have a full knowledge of hand and machine tools and know how to use the tools properly.
• Must know how to use electrical test equipment supplied by the Company and must be familiar with high-voltage electrical panels and equipment.
• Must be able to work independently on assignments/jobs with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and foresee problems with all production equipment.
• Capable of welding with arc, tig, and mig-type welding equipment.
• Capable of using an oxy-acetylene torch and a plasma cutting system.
• Capable of working with 304 and 316 stainless steels in such a manner as to minimize material waste and not damage/destroy shop tools and machines.
• Must have a working knowledge of lathes and milling machines operations (set up, etc.) and be able to read calipers and micrometers to determine thickness, depth, etc.
• Must be able to change, repair, and wire electrical motors that operate on 460/230 volts, 3-phase power.
• Must be capable of repairing and installing steel and PVC piping and accessories.
• Able to read and understand machine blueprints, manuals, electrical schematics, and device manuals.
• Capability to follow written procedures for line set-ups and test runs after work is completed.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
• Must be punctual and safety-conscious.
• Capable of communicating with other mechanics on adjustments and functions of their designated lines.
• Must be able to work overtime when called upon to do so.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements:
1-2 years of proven maintenance experience
Proficiently read and write in English

JobsRUs is seeking a MIG Welder for a Lindenwood, IL Manufacturer. Just 20 min outside of Rockford!

Average 55 hours per week.
$18.00-$21.00 depending on experience.
must have 2-3 years of proven Welding Experience.

Responsible for various types of MIG weld preparation, MIG welding, and MIG weld finishing operations on Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel to manufacture products to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. There are two levels of welders with similar responsibilities.

Parts Welders, which MIG welds parts such as leg stands, cab shields, engine mounts, light bars, etc.… These welders also can perform MIG tack welding to hold two pieces of steel together in place, prior to the finishing welders.
Finishing VBOX Hopper Spreaders Welders – Cosmetic MIG welds that can be seen on the finished products. - Straight Line MIG weld, Fillet MIG Weld, in-position, and out-of-position MIG weld, which is one of the most difficult welds to do with consistency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficient in assigned welding techniques
Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirements
Ability to read Blueprints and use a measuring tape
Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and other materials as needed
Working knowledge of fixture and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Conventional and precision measuring instruments
Process inspection, certification, and documentation
Welding equipment maintenance
Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
Safety and Housekeeping
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Embraces lean philosophy
Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor

Job Description:
-Set up jobs on roll thread machines (Saspi’s, Hartford, Waterbury's, Warrens)
-Compiles dimensions of stock, sequence of machining operations, and type and size of thread from charts and specifications.
-Sets feed rails, parts bowl, and roller sorter to ensure quality parts.
-Adjusts speed control k***s to synchronize transfer and ejection of stock with machine action.
-Complies with all safety regulations and policies.
-Verifies dimensions of workpieces with specifications. Modifies and grinds thread roll dies as necessary.
-Maintains, oils, and cleans machines on a regular basis. Drains and cleans oil trays; dump scrap and sweeps floors to maintain housekeeping standards.
-Recognize and inspect quality issues and troubleshoots process or quality issues with engineers to correct and document.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
