Canalside Staffing is expanding its team and is looking to hire an admin/recruiting assistant for a hybrid role. As an administrative assistant, you’ll be the main point of contact for candidates, employees, and clients, providing support in person or over the phone. On the recruiting side, you’ll assist in coordinating hiring activities, scheduling interviews, screening resumes, and maintaining candidate databases.
This role offers a valuable opportunity for someone looking to enter the recruiting field.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (with a one-hour lunch break)
Pay: $17.50-18.50 per hour

Recruiting assistant duties will be reaching out to potential candidates, conduct initial phone screenings, and facilitate in-person interviews. You’ll also extend job offers to successful candidates, schedule interviews, follow up throughout the recruitment process, update employee records, perform background checks, and verify candidates' qualifications and experiences.
Administrative duties will encompass:
• Welcoming office visitors
• Coordinating applicant flow
• Managing a multiline phone system, screening, and directing calls
• Organizing and scheduling appointments
• Handling correspondence like emails, letters, faxes, and forms
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, email, and company-specific ATS software for documentation
• Entering applications into the company's ATS software
• Assisting with report preparation
• Maintaining an orderly filing system
• Performing other administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of Administrative Assistant or Receptionist
• Basic recruiting fundamentals/experience a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Capacity to manage multiple and evolving priorities
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Discretion, judgment, and ability to work independently or in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong typing and keyboard skills
