Overview:
To operate grinders to grind raw beef or pork into patties according to company specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age to use equipment/tools.
• Neatness in appearance, with a pleasant, outgoing, self-motivated personality.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
• Possess basic mathematic skills.

Grinding Palletizer Position - 1st Shift: 6:50a to 3:30p

Since 1960, this local meat processing plant has used its Midwestern work-ethic to set the innovation bar high. And now, they're looking to add to that same team. Job Functions:
1.Check production schedule to determine product to be packed, availability of necessary packing materials, shrink-wrap and pallets. 2.Weigh all boxes as they come down the line making sure they are within weight limit
3.Keep up with speed of line.
4.Tape and label.
5.Palletize all labeled boxes according to pre-established pattern, shrink-wrap full pallets.
6.Place pallets in freezer using hand or power jack.
7.Change labels and tape on respective machines when necessary.
8.Change boxes between production changes.
9.Pack patties and assist in cleanup at shift end.
10.Work effectively with others.
11.Be dependable, follow safety rules, and care for property.

Machinery: Conveyor, forklift, metal detector, hand/power pallet jacks, tape machine, bar coder, computer, electronic scale.

Equipment: Hand pallet jack, wrenches, combo, table, knives, luggers, cart.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move 10-50 pounds continuously. Requires varying degrees of pushing, pulling and lift to move boxes. Occasionally perform difficult manipulative tasks. JOB OBJECTIVE: To clean and sanitize equipment and work area used in production.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Wash, Rinse, Sanitize and set-up equipment for next shift; Dry floors and ceilings; Empty trash; Perform and assist in other related duties as required; Work well with others; Repot to work on time; Follow rules; Care for property.

MACHINERY: Pallet jacks.

EQUIPMENT: Hoses, wooden and plastic pallets, trash bags, foaming containers and wands, machine parts, large broom, grinding plate sharpener, paper towel dispensers, drop cords, pressure washers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Standing on wet cement floors. Extremes of temperatures from –30 degrees Fahrenheit in spirals to 80 degrees in portion room when hot hoses are in use. Limited visibility due to cold in work areas and the use of heat from water hoses. Slippery floors. Wet environment. Noise level is low after production. Some outdoor work. Work with hot water and high-pressure water.
