Position: Commercial/Industrial Construction Superintendent
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Roanoke, VA
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (DOE)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial Construction Superintendent to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background managing multimillion‑dollar commercial or industrial projects and the leadership skills required to successfully oversee all phases of construction from planning to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and oversee construction projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
Conduct and manage quality inspections throughout all stages of construction.
Supervise subcontractors and onsite staff while maintaining strong communication and direction.
Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment by following OSHA standards, company procedures, and all legal regulations.
Coordinate all construction services and onsite activities.
Maintain and update project schedules to ensure deadlines are met and costs are controlled.
Monitor project progress, address issues promptly, and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
Required: Experience managing commercial and/or industrial multimillion‑dollar construction projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and construction documents.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Proven ability to maintain safety compliance and enforce job site standards.
Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
