With sadness, we announce that Ben Long, founder and CEO of Travaille Executive Search passed away on March 28, 2020. Many of you thoughtfully contacted Ben following his December 2018 stroke and he worked so hard to heal from it. This last battle he lost and we will sorely miss him. Happy Father's Day to all of you lucky enough to be a father/dad/surrogate/proxy. You know, I became a "Dad" later in life and so I celebrate with gusto the joys of this job (and also a little grandson). The day was going splendidly until I received the dreaded message that our website was down. Technology is wonderful until it isn't and much of the day was spent figuring out the issue. Well, problem solved! For those who might have had problems reaching us, my sincere apologies. We are open, busy, and our bytes are re-connected.

For all who know me personally, you know that my respect for Social Media is Epic but I tend it like a non-resident landlord. 2017 has been a busy year and I must say that my many years in this exciting business make some of my searches so rewarding!! My compliments and congratulations to Carolina Health Systems in Charlotte, NC, for their diligent and successful selection of Danielle Dominguez to fill their Director of Executive Communications. It has been a pleasure working with Amy Murphy and Page Michie in the Communications and HR Departments.

I start the year with a very exciting International PR position at the Director level. What a fun assignment to start the year. I hope you have fun as you return to your desk as well.

Earlier this morning, I read a "year end reflection" looking at 2016 and wondering what 2017 might bring. Such reflections are common each year and they can make us better. Do they "keep us on our toes" or send us running to the closet for shelter? Hopefully, neither! 2016, as always brought new jobs, changes in jobs, and fun assignments. My recent work with the American Hospital Association is only one example of caring employers and excellent candidates. 2017 suggests change but such is life in D.C. and the world. So, to my Employers, Candidates, Friends and Family, I salute the great unknown, the growth that each year brings and wish you all a time of Happy Holidays and a Healthy, Prosperous New Year.
