We have been tasked with sourcing an experienced Senior Materials Scientist with advanced knowledge of Material Science and Chemistry to design finishing products and processes and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our client's customers.

In this exciting new role, you have the opportunity to influence the future of the company. Working with limited supervision, you will lead a small team including junior chemists and compounders to directly contribute to the development of our clients business. Your main remit is to design, produce, test and/or validate products from prototype to production. You will interact with internal and external contacts in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

An Innovator interested in deepening your experience and growing your career with an industry leader, your key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring manufacturability of coatings and adhesion to various different coating processes or coating additives as required.
Rapid decision-making during coating or coating formulation changes to meet requirements for design for manufacturability, quality and cost.
Strong focus on laboratory work developing technical ideas through to production.
You have
Masters in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Textile Engineering or some aligned material-based field (minimum requirement)
A minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
Strong communication and leadership skills
Coating experience, including Formulating, Manufacturing and Applications Development.

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager (second shift) for this exciting new team! Join us and make your mark creating a cutting edge, real world technical solution! Now more than ever we need to protect our community, health workers, colleagues, families and friends!

Responsibilities:
Support the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes.
Run equipment and maintenance as needed to ensure machinery is in good working order.
Preparing production reports and submitting them to Senior Operations Manager.
Execute quality control processes.
Regularly inspect finished products to determine whether they meet established quality
standards.
Ensure that all production orders are shipped on time.
Monitoring and motivating team to continually achieve targets (to include billing, inventory and
shipping).
Enforce health and safety compliance.

Requirements:
3 - 5 years previous production experience.
Ideally you have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, or related field (preferred but not essential).
Excellent proven mechanical ability to be able to perform maintenance and varied repairs on machines is essential.
Must have a sense of urgency and work efficiently.
Must have good time management and organization skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written work instructions is essential.
Must follow safety rules, meet production expectations, and uphold quality standards.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
