This week, Hospice of Alabama recognizes the chaplains and spiritual care professionals who bring comfort, presence, and compassion to patients and families. The 2026 theme for Spiritual Care Week is “Healing Through Presence and Grace.”

In hospice care, spiritual care isn't about having all the answers. Sometimes it is simply being present; listening, offering comfort, honoring beliefs and values, and walking alongside someone during an important chapter of life.
