This year Mutual of America Financial Group is sponsoring three basin lightings! WaterFire Providence and Children's Friend are partnering to collect toys at all three lightings for local children in need this Holiday season. As a toy drive greeter, you will be stationed at one of the collection bins located around the basin during the event, greet guests, encourage donations, and empty the toy bins when they are filled.
WaterFire Volunteer Attire:
• All black head to toe - you are a part of the art!
• Black mask (optional) - WaterFire will have black masks on site
• Closed-toe shoes - there are many areas with cobblestone
Suggestion: No large personal items and weather-appropriate clothing
New! WaterFire ditches the plastic water bottle this season! Last season we eliminated the plastic from constructing the braziers, and this season we want to reduce our carbon footprint by eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles. We ask that you please bring a reusable water bottle to your shift, and you will be able to refill it on-site.
Volunteer Team Requests:
• If you cannot make it to your shift, please let us know as soon as possible or unregister on the website.
• Please be on time for your shift! WaterFire volunteers have the most vital role in making a WaterFire lighting possible.
• WaterFire will go on regardless of the weather, please plan accordingly. We will be in touch if there are any emergencies.
* Check-in time is subject to change
