A recent post about student-athlete development being strategy, not βextra,β really resonated with me.
The best departments understand this work shapes culture, confidence, retention, and long-term outcomes. When development is treated as infrastructure instead of an add-on, student-athletes feel it.
Career readiness is not a one-time workshop. It is consistent reinforcement. It is helping athletes understand how their discipline, resilience, communication, and leadership translate beyond their sport.
That philosophy is exactly why I created the Going Pro presentation. It is designed to complement existing programming. It reinforces the strong foundation athletic departments are already building while giving athletes practical tools they can immediately apply to resumes, LinkedIn, interviews, and networking.
I am always open to partnering with schools and administrators who approach development with this long-term mindset and want to continue strengthening the bridge between athletics and career success.
