Liability: the state of being legally responsible for something or someone : the state of being liable for something

There are way too many companies who do not screen or vett their employees and therefore are responsible and liable for the employees actions.

Some reasons companies don't screen employees:

1. Money - fact: it is very inexpensive to conduct pre employment screenings

2. Irresponsible - Employees feel they can get away with it and chance it. These are the most liable companies.
