Manpower in Poughkeepsie is working with a globally known company located in Dutchess County for entry/mid level IT/Networking Testers for Large Mainframe systems. A good knowledge in networking and professional experience is preferred. In this role, you would be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging computer systems before they are sent out to clients. You would need to have hardware, networking and electronics experience needed for system problem-solving. You would be assisting the team in identifying possible issues with main-frame computers, hooking up laptop and running checks.
A IT Network certification/degree is definitely preferred but, not mandatory.

Analyze machine / customer orders for required new & used parts.
Placing part orders as required, factoring in current inventory levels and usage.
Understanding "Bill of Materials" and Engineering Changes for substitute alternate parts requirements.
Tracking supplier part orders and incoming part deliveries, insuring supply meets demand on machine orders of re-manufacturing operations.
Working with company-specific interface for part ordering and part delivery.
Computer literacy for office procedure (email, instant messaging) is essential along with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP is preferred.
