When building non-human races, it's interesting to look at the way that the societies shape up, how relationships between non-humans, both within their own society and with the other races, influence the society. Are they monogamous, polygamous, or something else? Do they date or is it cave man politics in that the strongest choose their mates?

How has the history of the races, especially an artificially created race such as the Kraviks, shaped their society? Do they even have a society?

It's a fun exercise fitting all those pieces together into a comprehensive whole as we populate the world of Entyl.

The world of Entyl continues to grow as we learn more about the inhabitants of the world. Soon we'll get to meet some of the races that inhabit Entyl. The Kraviks, the Ra'shan, the Majestix, the Woodlings, the Tarkat, the Sha'rii, and the Groka!

Legends speak of a time when the world was one. They speak of the time when the mortal races lived together in harmony and prosperity. They speak of the general peace that was maintained between the races. They speak of the ones who shattered that peace and sundered the world apart.

Legends speak of the ones who gave into the corruption, the darkness. They speak of how those few shattered the peace and set the races warring upon each other. They speak of how those few guided the others into the final conflict. They speak of how each side contributed to the spell that ripped the world apart in fire and misery.

Legends speak of the ones who managed to fight back the darkness. They speak of the ones who lead the fight to bring peace once more to the great continents. They speak of years of conflict before the darkness was finally driven away from the world. They speak of the ones who helped enforce the peace and punish those behind the tragedy.

Legends speak of the generations since the Sundering. They speak of how the World has healed but that the wounds continue to scar the very land and seas. They speak of the things that continue to lay beneath the surface of the world, waiting for the time to return. They speak of the prophecies that will guide those who face the returning darkness.

Legends speak of that which has come before and Legends will be written of what shall take place. What will the Legends speak of you?

Welcome to the world of Entyl.

Work continues on building the world for our MMORPG. We've got the world name, the continent name, even the game name. We've got a rough pen and paper map setup for the first continent as well. The place where the majority of the story is going to take place. We're still playing with the positioning of some of the significant events and locations.

Exciting times. I get to play pinboard with a giant printout of the map!

It's been a busy couple of months. A family tragedy hit our lead designer and took him away from writing for a bit. He's back on a somewhat partial basis as he finishes taking care of things back home, but at least he's back.

We wish him all the best in getting things taken care of and look forward to seeing new updates on the projects going on.
