TradeForce Staffing Solutions is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician who is interested in a long-term opportunity with a well-established Brewery located near Hood River, Oregon. We are looking for someone who is energetic, enjoys working as part of a team, and is passionate about high-quality beer. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for equipment installations, repairs, and regular preventative maintenance on all production equipment. The technician will also be responsible for coordinating regular maintenance schedules for all brewery utilities, working closely with independent contractors. Additionally, the maintenance technician will keep an organized, well documented spare parts inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for keeping brewery equipment running to its full potential with a minimum amount of downtime.
• Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting and related systems.
• Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.
• Diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment.
• Knowledge of Gear boxes, mechanical drives and variable speed applications.
• Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics and piping diagrams.
• Skilled in application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, power tools and skilled in machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment.
• Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving mechanical and electrical equipment & systems in a working manufacturing environment with an emphasis on employee safety as the top priority.
• Must work well in a team oriented environment and have excellent communication skills.
• Follow company policies & procedures, reflect organizational core values and strive to always maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Applicant should possess strong mechanical ability with problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Perform daily inspection of all brewery support utilities and equipment.
• Able to work in a loud production environment and flexibility to work all shifts, additional hours and weekends as necessary.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and stand for 8-10 hours at a time.
Pay Rate:
• $25.00 per hour
