We’ve all seen this happen.

A business owner hires someone to take something off their plate.

But weeks later, they’re still:

Checking the work.
Answering every question.
Making every decision.
Fixing every small detail.

But sometimes, the issue isn’t the person.

The role may not have been clearly defined.

So you do it.

“Did they get this?”
“What’s the status?”
“Are they working on it?”
“Why didn’t anyone tell me?”

Clear communication channels.
Defined responsibilities.
Documented processes.
Regular check-ins.
Project management tools.
Clear deadlines and expectations.

Remote teams work best when everyone knows what they own, what comes next, and where to go for information.

Distance isn’t the problem.

Lack of structure is.
