🚨 TODAY IS THE DAY!!! 🚨

Everybody help me wish Future Soldier Solis good luck as she ships off to Basic Training TODAY! 🇺🇸🫡

Her story is easily one of my favorites. From the beginning, I saw the determination, ambition, and drive in this young lady. She knew exactly what she wanted for her future and was willing to put in the work to make it happen.

From DAY ONE, Solis was job locked on 68W Combat Medic Specialist 🩺⚕️. That was her job of choice, and she wasn’t settling for anything else. She stayed focused, handled everything she needed to handle, qualified, and secured the exact job she came in wanting with no issues. When someone comes into my office that motivated and determined about their future, my job is to help them turn that goal into a reality — and THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT SHE DID. 🔥

Now she’s taking the first step toward becoming a 68W Combat Medic Specialist, learning skills that will allow her to provide emergency medical care and take care of Soldiers when they need it most.

Solis, I have nothing but GREAT things to say about you. You bet on yourself, trusted the process, and never lost sight of what you wanted. That type of ambition is going to take you FAR, not only in the Army but in life. 💪🏼

And while she’s building her career, she’s also building her future with career training, college benefits, Tuition Assistance, GI Bill benefits, healthcare, paid vacation, VA home loan eligibility, retirement opportunities, certifications, leadership experience, travel opportunities, and so much more. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 FROM A 16-YEAR-OLD HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR WITH A GOAL… TO SOLDIER OF THE CYCLE. 🏆🔥

Tomorrow, PVT Padilla graduates Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina! Today, he’s enjoying Family Day with his mom, dad, and siblings , the family who supported this journey from day one. ❤️🇺🇸

This young man first came to me at 16 years old, as a sophomore at Diamond Bar High School, ready to enlist. I literally had to tell him, “You’re too young. Come back when you’re 17!” 😂

And he did.

With his parents’ consent, PVT Padilla enlisted in the Army Reserve through the Split Option Program before finishing his junior year.

🎓 Split Option allows eligible high school juniors to attend Basic Combat Training during the summer between junior and senior year, return home to finish high school, then complete their Army job training after graduation.

So while most teenagers were enjoying summer vacation…

PVT Padilla spent his becoming a United States Soldier. 🫡🇺🇸

But he didn’t just graduate BCT…

🏆 HE EARNED SOLDIER OF THE CYCLE! 🏆

This distinguished recognition is earned by a Soldier who stands out among their peers through leadership, discipline, motivation, fitness, military knowledge, and overall performance.

At only 17 years old, he distinguished himself among an entire training cycle. 🔥

And he’s just getting started:

Don’t let ANYONE tell you that you can’t be Active Duty AND a full-time student while being a mom and a wife. 🎓🪖❤️

I’m a full-time Soldier. A Recruiter. A wife. A mom. And a full-time college student 4-6 college courses a semester.

I have A LOT on my plate. Some days I genuinely don’t know how I fit everything into 24 hours 😂 but somehow, through all of it, I continue to exceed my own expectations.

🎓 Maintaining a 3.9–4.0 GPA
🏅 Nominated into multiple honor societies
📚 Finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management with a focus in Government Contracting & Acquisitions
💰 And I’ll be graduating DEBT FREE.

DEBT. FREE. 👏🏽🔥

One thing I’ll ALWAYS give the Army credit for is the opportunities it has given me. Through Army Tuition Assistance, I’ve been able to continue working toward my degree while serving—and that’s before even talking about benefits like the GI Bill.

I didn’t have to wait until I got out of the Army to start preparing for my next chapter. I’m building it RIGHT NOW.

The Army has been my steppingstone to provide for my family, gain real-world experience, travel, continue my education, and build a career for myself beyond the uniform.

Is it easy? HELL NO. 😂 There are late nights, early mornings, assignments after work, mom duties, wife duties, Soldier duties, recruiting duties… but somehow, WE GET IT DONE. 💪🏽

And I remind myself why I’m doing it:

Be someone little you would be proud of.
Be someone your future kids can look up to.
And most importantly, become someone YOU are proud of. ❤️

Little me had dreams. My kids are watching me chase them. And the woman I’m becoming gets to live them. 🥹🎓🪖

So no, I’m not too busy. I’m building the life I once prayed for.

If I can carry all of this and STILL make my education a priority, YOU CAN TOO.

This can be YOU. 🫵🏽🔥

Stop waiting for the “perfect time.” Invest in yourself. Build your future. Get that degree. Break those barriers.
