Department of Public Works Traffic Division Laborers might not be as famous as The Beatles and they don’t paint pavement markings Eight Days a Week, but when they Come Together, important work gets done like it was due Yesterday.
A Day in the Life of those Laborers might consist of painting a crosswalk on Penny Lane or this one on Wible Run Road in Shaler, or it might involve line stripping, which they do on more than 200 miles of Long and Winding Road annually.
When they spot faded pavement markings, they don’t just Let it Be, they Get Back at it immediately to make our roads safer. Even Eleanor Rigby would be impressed with their hard work and dedication.
