Brookline Meals On Wheels Serving those in need of a hot meal and bag lunch on a daily basis including the elderly, or anyone Donations always welcome!

Meals are $5 per day available 7 days with delivery on weekdays. Meals are subsidized by community members and businesses, grants, and local churches.

Every single day, incredible meals leave our kitchen to nourish our community—and it’s all thanks to the dedication, creativity, and love of our amazing staff! 🧑‍🍳❤️

We want to give a special shoutout to two essential members of our team:

🥪 Janis – The master behind our fresh, daily cold lunches! Janis handcrafts every single sandwich with care, ensuring our neighbors always get a delicious, comforting meal.
🍲 Elaine – Our hot entree genius! Day in and day out, Elaine cooks up a completely homemade hot meal from scratch, bringing warmth and flavor to everyone we serve.

✨ Did you know? Janis and Elaine take over 90% of donated ingredients and turn it into high-quality, delicious meals! Their creativity in the kitchen not only prevents food waste but transforms generous community support into nourishing comfort food for those who need it most.

Please come take whatever you’d like but please do not take my carts, umbrella or umbrella stand.

Hello!

Tomorrow, Tuesday September 15, from 9-11am we will have a large amount of free potatoes, apples, and onions outside of the Church. There will also be a little bit of bread and some random canned/boxed food goods.

It will all be outside St. Marks Lutheran Church tomorrow from 9am-11am at 933 Brookline Blvd, PGH PA 15226. It will be on the right side of the Church (on Glenarm St) next to the double red doors.

I will post about this again tomorrow morning but wanted to give a heads up.
Please remember do not take my carts, my umbrella or my umbrella stand.

Have you (or someone you know) ever wanted to do something that really makes a difference everyday? Are you called to serve in your community? Are you really good at taking random ingredients and making delicious food out of it?

Then Brookline Meals on Wheels wants to talk to you!

A little bit about us…We are a ministry focused mission who strive to serve the low income/physically and/or mentally disabled folks in the South Hills area, to the best of our ability. We try, everyday, to make a difference in the lives of those who need us the most. Basically, if your heart is 5 times bigger than your head, you love to serve others and you like to cook, I’d love to talk to you!

Brookline Meals On Wheels is looking for a part time chef to join our team. The position is part time, paid 20 hours a week, from 8am-12pm Monday through Friday. We are a nonprofit so you aren’t going to become rich working with us, but I promise it’ll look good on your Get-Into-Heaven resume.

I know everyone says they work with the best people but we really do have the best people around us! Brookline Meals On Wheels has the best volunteers in the business.

Lisa, Tom, and all of our volunteers are the backbone of what we do and we are beyond grateful for their help!
We couldn’t function without all of our volunteers.

Do you have a little extra time to be a volunteer driver? We are looking for volunteer drivers to deliver prepackaged meals to our clients on Mondays and Wednesdays.
