PCSI is sharing a free healthcare career training opportunity for young adults through the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center.

Eligible young adults ages 16-24 can explore training in Clinical Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, and Rehabilitation Technology while working toward industry-recognized credentials and gaining hands-on experience.

Job Corps may also provide support such as high school completion, residential living, meals, basic medical care, a living allowance, career counseling, and help building additional life and employment skills.

Just a friendly reminder that PCSI’s Food Pantry is open until 8 pm today (and every Thursday)! If weekdays feel too busy, stop by after work to shop for nutritious groceries and pick up healthy recipes.

Our pantry is always open Monday–Friday, 10 am to 4 pm, at our North Craig Street Headquarters, but our hours are extended each Thursday evening for your convenience.

PCSI is offering a blended CPR and First Aid/AED Training on Wednesday, October 21, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at our North Oakland office.

Participants will complete an online portion before attending the in-person session and can earn a two-year Red Cross certification.

The training is free for current PCSI customers. Not currently receiving PCSI services? You can still call us to learn more.

PCSI is sharing this upcoming hiring event from the Brashear Association and Hilltop Community Market & Pantry.

The event will be held Friday, October 9, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Brashear Workforce & Career Advancement Center, 730 East Warrington Avenue in Pittsburgh.

Open positions include full-time and part-time Market Clerks, full-time and part-time Pantry Support, Assistant Store Manager, and Pantry Manager.
