If you're hiring for your agency, spend a little more time figuring out what you actually need before putting up that job post.

Think about the work they'll be handling every day, the skills your team is currently missing, and the kind of person who'd work well with the people you already have.

Be specific about the responsibilities, expectations, and experience you're looking for.

A vague job description will attract all sorts of applicants, and you'll end up spending hours sorting through people who were never the right fit to begin with.

A little more clarity upfront can save you a lot of time during the hiring process.

The person you hired might be doing fine. Look at how the work gets handed to them first.

John D. Rockefeller napped after lunch most days. He spent his afternoons in the garden or on the golf course, and he'd go months without coming into the office.

He was also the richest man of his time.

He gave credit for that to how he handed off work. He put the right people in charge and let the business run through them.

A lot of founders feel guilty taking one slow afternoon. That guilt usually comes from knowing everything still runs through you, so stepping away feels risky.

Cross Even came to us with one problem. Their Meta ads needed a real expert. They did not have time to go look for one.

You know how hiring for ads goes. You put up the job. The forms pile up. A lot of them ran ads for a few weeks and now call it their skill. You can lose a whole month just working out who is real.

So we did that part for them.

We got on a call. We got clear on what they needed. Then we went and found people who had really run ads for firms like theirs.

We sent them a short list with video resumes. They picked who to talk to. They ran their own calls. They chose Armaghan.

Since then they get more leads and pay less for them. The leads keep coming in. So the team can work on growing the firm, not on where the next client will come from.

If you know which seat you need to fill, tell us what you want. We will go find them.

⭐ Employee of the Month | October 2026 ⭐

Nayab Kazmi.

Nayab started as a Customer Service Representative. Today she is someone the whole team leans on. That did not happen by chance. She kept taking on more, and she kept showing up for the people around her.

Here's what her manager had to say:

"The growth Nayab has shown has been absolutely amazing, and honestly, watching her grow has been one of my favorite things. From being an agent to becoming someone the entire team can rely on, and now growing into such a reliable and absolute stellar leader, the journey has been incredible to watch.

The growth she has shown, both professionally and personally, is immense. Seeing her step into her leadership, take ownership, and become the kind of person others can look up to is genuinely such a joy.

Nayab, it has been an absolute treat watching you grow into the person and leader you are today. You've come such a long way, and I couldn't be prouder of you. So, so well deserved. Here's to everything you've accomplished so far and everything that's still ahead!"

Nayab, thank you for the ownership you bring every day. This one is well earned.

Congratulations.

DDI assessed more than 70,000 manager candidates. Only 19% were strong at delegating.

Their 2025 research also found that delegation did more to prevent leader burnout than any other method they measured.

Founders have it even harder. You built the business by doing the work yourself, and it worked. Handing it off goes against years of habit, and nobody gives you a manual for that part.

If it feels clumsy, you're with the other 81%.

Most delegation advice stops at delegate more.

Nobody mentions there are levels to it.

A research from INSEAD breaks it into 5.

At the top, the person you hired spots a problem and fixes it before you've brought it up.

At the bottom, you hand off one task at a time and check every one.

The part that stuck with us is that you can't skip a level. Each one runs on trust you built in the one before. So if you're on level 1 right now, you're where everyone starts, and getting to level 2 is a fine goal for the next few months.

Where would you put yourself today?

If 3 new clients signed tomorrow, would that be exciting?

Here's how we helped Cross Even find the right media buyer for their team: Armaghan.

A big shout-out to Armaghan for doing an amazing job, and to Cross Even for trusting us as their hiring partner.

If you're tired of sorting through candidates for your next hire, reach out. We may be able to help you find someone with the right skills and a strong cultural fit for your agency.

A lead comes in. Someone sees the notification and plans to get back to them.

Then a client call runs over. A team member asks for help with something else. The owner gets pulled into delivery work. By the time anyone checks the pipeline again, two or three days have passed.

The lead is still there. Nothing has happened with it.

This is common in growing businesses because the pipeline is there, the enquiries are coming in, and everybody assumes the follow-up is covered somewhere.

It needs to be much clearer than that.

When a lead enters your CRM, give it a next action straight away. Write down the due date. Assign it to one person.

"Call them tomorrow at 11."
"Send the quote by the end of today."
"Follow up after they have seen the proposal."

Simple things, but they stop leads from sitting in limbo while everyone gets busy.

Owners usually end up catching these gaps themselves. They are checking old enquiries, asking whether someone followed up, then jumping in because they do not want a good opportunity to disappear.

That is a job someone on the team can own properly.

The pipeline keeps moving. The owner gets their time back. And the lead gets a proper response while they are still interested.
