📢 New Course at the Arizona Wildfire & Incident Management Academy!
📍 Prescott, AZ | March 17-19, 2026 | $255

For the first time ever, AWIMA will offer Women in Wildland Fire (WIWF). This is an immersive, hands-on training designed to introduce participants to real-world wildland fire operations, leadership, and career pathways. This exciting opportunity fills the gap left by the discontinued “Women in Wildland Fire Bootcamp,” which is no longer offered through federal agencies anywhere in the country. An official NWCG Certificate will be issued for S-130/190 courses upon successful completion of this three-day course. This certificate meets the requirements to be employed as a Wildland Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2).

The Wage & Hour Division Portland District Office is providing a series of trainings for anyone involved with wildland firefighting. The first one will be held December 12, 2024 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm PDT / 3:30pm to 5:00pm MDT.

They will be covering:

The Service Contract Act (SCA)
Migrant and Seasonal Worker Protection Act (MSPA)
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Hello Everyone,

It has come to my attention that there may be some inaccurate information floating around about my company. We are a staffing agency that allows both contractors and firefighters the flexibility of working when and with whoever they want within our network. We DO NOT require firefighters to commit their entire season(s) to us and only us. My main goal with Wildland Registry is not to have the largest pool of firefighters for contractors to pull from (although that would be fantastic), nor is it to make a ton of money off of you. My main goal is to create a safe space for contractors and firefighters to establish and build lasting connections while having the peace of mind in knowing that I’ve got your back.
