BLENDING MACHINE OPERATOR:
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Setup the machines according to batch record parameters
Verify that has all the items necessary for production
Visually verify that the ingredients are in conformance with standards
Feed the equipment with amount of product according to batch record
Must know how to start machines to mix or blend ingredients; then allow them to mix for specified times as per the batch record
Feed the machines following safety standards
Organization and cleanliness of rooms; performs A and B type cleaning
Follow all safety rules when moving materials
Follow GMPs when performing the process
Follow all SOPs related to the area assigned
Qualification:
High School Degree
Experience in Nutraceutical industry (a plus)
Forklift certification (a plus)
Ability to follow instructions
Basic math skills
Ability to lift and handle heavy material using equipment
Physical Requirements: SAME FOR TABLET, CAPSULE &COATING OPERATOR
Requires frequent standing and bending. Lifting up to 25 kg (55 Ibs). Push or roll 50- to 100 kg drums with powder with assistance. Ability to use ladders.
Typical Work Conditions:
Person will be subject to food and nutritional bulk ingredients, which may affect the respiratory system or the skin, including an environment subject to odors, dust or airborne allergens.
Person will be working in a dry and low moisture environment
Person will be exposed to normal work hazards, including a variety of physical conditions such as a proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Exposure to noise.
CAPSULE OPERATOR:
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Set up the equipment to start production
Feed the machine with powder
Check to see capsules are released correctly
Control of weight variation
Recuperation of powder from vacuums
Refill or supply the machine with raw material powder and capsules as necessary
Fill out all the different batch record formats, based on the time established
Keep the work area clean
Qualifications:
High School degree
Detail oriented
Manufacturing or pharmaceutical/nutraceutical experience preferred
Basic math skills
Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
TABLET MACHINE OPERATOR:
Essential functions and responsibilities
Set the machine (operator with the most experience)
Refill or supply the machine with raw material powder as necessary
Fill out all the different formats, based on the time established
Keep the work area clean.
Follow established SOPs for position and comply with GMPs
Qualification:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must have minimum 1 year experience operating a Tablet machine in Manufacturing Nutraceutical/Pharmaceutical industry
Detail oriented
Basic math skills
COATING OPERATOR
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Check equipment before starting to work and get the raw material needed
Set up the coating machine according to batch record parameters
Feed the equipment with the corresponding amount of product according to the batch record
Prepare the Shellac solution according to the batch record and fill out the Shellac report
Give the final coating to the tablets when required as per batch record
Handle the Shellac report to the manager to analyze it and determine the priorities
Keep the working area clean
Qualification:
High School Degree
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus
Knowledge and experience using the Coating Vector machines
Ability to follow instructions
Basic math skills
Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
Physical Requirements:
Fast pace. Requires frequent standing, bending, lifting and moving 10 kilogram boxes. Ability to use ladders.
