OhioMeansJobs Lake County is a group of public, private and non-profit agencies and partner organizations that have joined forces to create a coordinated system to assist families and individuals in attaining and sustaining economic self-sufficiency. If you are seeking employment or a career change, OhioMeansJobs Lake County offers you the p

rofessional tools to assure your efforts are successful. We also have fax machines, copiers and telephones available for your use. Our services include: customized job search assistance, training programs, and supportive services designed to address employment barriers. The Career Center is located inside of Lake County Job & Family Services, located at 177 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio 44077. General hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. All of our services are FREE! INDIVIDUALS/JOB SEEKERS

At OhioMeansJobs Lake County individuals and youth can select from a menu of services ranging for self-service to guided services. Intensive services are available for those who qualify. When you visit our technology-rich career center you will learn how to:

• Customized job search assistance
• 31 Computers available for job seekers
• Resume and cover letter assistance
• List of local Hiring Events (job fairs, local job openings)
• Self-directed tutorials for Microsoft Office products
• Job placement assistance
• Employment Specialists available for assistance

EMPLOYERS

At OhioMeansJobs Lake County employers can find tools to assist them in attracting, hiring, retaining and advancing their workforce: Post jobs, search resumes, take advantage of federal, state and local employment programs and more. Services include:

• Resume database of local job talent
• Pre-employment screening
• Scheduling of interviews
• Hosting of onsite targeted job fairs and recruitment events
• Proactive job readiness assistance to candidates
• Posting of job openings to OhioMeansJobs.com, powered by Monster, and social media avenues
• Marketing of individual skilled job seekers
