We are Hiring for a full-time maintenance technician! $20-$22/hr
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs in apartments and residential homes. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues, complete repairs efficiently, and take pride in keeping properties safe, functional, and well-maintained.
This position requires someone who is comfortable working independently, interacting professionally with residents, and handling a variety of maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs in apartments and residential homes
Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
Repair drywall, doors, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, and other household items
Perform painting, caulking, patching, and other general repairs
Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner
Identify potential maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Perform preventative maintenance as needed
Prepare units for new tenants, including minor repairs and touch-ups
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Communicate professionally with residents, property managers, and vendors
Maintain company tools and equipment
Follow all applicable safety procedures and building codes
Qualifications
Previous experience in residential, apartment, or general maintenance preferred
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general home repairs
Ability to use common hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple work orders
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Professional communication and customer service skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various positions as needed
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades who enjoys fixing things and figuring out problems. You don't necessarily need to be an expert in every trade, but you should be comfortable diagnosing an issue, making the repair when possible, and knowing when a job requires a specialist.
