Main Purpose of Role:

Perform essential functions such as: Accuracy in accessioning patient sample information into the LIS; Accuracy in physician test ordering, scanning in requisitions. Manage row of Accessioning employees.

Skills and Knowledge:

High school diploma required. Some college with a focus on healthcare administration, business, science or laboratory-related education preferred.
Required ability to work confidently on a PC with MS Office Products.
Ability to communicate with all clients in a professional, courteous, efficient manner required.

Responsibilities:

Accept deliveries
Review that all information is accurate and up to standards for all departments
Maintain organization.
Ability to identify all CAP required sample information.

Provide oversight of orders on requisitions on pre-accessioned samples.
Ability to identify missing information and execute the proper route when missing information is identified
Provide oversight of physician/patient information required by HIPPA, CLIA, and overall best lab practices.
Ability to scan patient requisitions for medical records purposes.

Role Description:

Exceptions Specialists will handle the resolving of missing information samples, minor report corrections, and actively assist in resolving deal breakers.

Purpose of the Role:

Efficiently communicate with the Pre-Analytical Operations Department, Account Managers, Sales Reps, and Customer Fulfilment to resolve any missing information as soon as the sample is received. The focus is to facilitate rapid completion of missing information, which is essential for reporting results critical to patient care.

Skills and Knowledge

Required ability to work confidently on a PC with MS Office Products.

Ability to communicate with all clients in a professional, courteous, efficient manner required.

Responsibilities:

Must identify all CLIA required information on each sample prior to contacting client.
Navigate and utilize all platforms:
LIMs, CRM, SharePoint, Sharefile, eFAX.
Communicate and obtain missing information from clients via phone, email, CWP, or fax.
Accurately accession and QC all missing information.
Track & keep record of all samples in exception.
Develop and implement missing information solutions with clients, account managers, sales reps, and customer fulfillment.
Effectively communicate all issues, progress, and results as appropriate to applicable internal staff members.
Maintain accurate records referencing any phone calls, correspondence, issues and resolutions.
Identify trends of client performance and recommend courses of action to department leadership through reports and analysis.


You Must Have:

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to determine the appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
