Southern Construction Staffing has partnered with a premiere mechanical company in the Nashville area and is currently looking for COMMERCIAL PIPEFITTERS of a high expertise for the following project:

Description:

Perform journeyman level installation of HVAC piping and equipment in large construction projects in accordance with contract documents, drawings and work orders; provide technical guidance and direction to lower level employees. (Piping material and joint type should be project specific and specified in requisition)

Details:

Start Date: Monday 12/14/20

Start Time: 6:00 - 2:30PM

Duties: Will be sweating copper and installing pro-press copper. Worker will HAVE to know how to solder and have experience using pro-press copper.

Load and unload pallets and other materials from trailers.

Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
Troubleshoot motor and control systems
Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
Adhere to all quality and safety codes

Job Description Primary Purpose: The installation of exaust fans & associated Duct systems.

Principal Duties:

• Assemble and install metal duct and fiberglass board • Blue print reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawings. • All phases of duct installation (spiral, rectangular, double wall, welded). • Understanding of different connectors that are used. • Hanger layout as well as some field measuring. • Organize work area and maintain all hand tools • Lift heavy materials

Skills & Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Minimum of six months experience in any types of sheet metal duct and fiberglass, duct work installation on commercial and/or residential projects • Must have own Sheet Metal hand tools, company supplies power tools • MUST be able and willing to follow job-site instructions • Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights. • OHSA 10 or 30 preferred

Pay is based on experience.
