Are you answering this correctly?
This a very short but tricky question that can help you succeed in your job interview when answered in the right way.
I have noticed how people get confused since it is very general, however, you have to stick to the conversation topic "Job Interview".
Answers like your age, marital status, the city where you were born, or even talking about your kids or pets are not answers relevant to any technical role in this particular question, in other words, the real question is "tell me about yourself as a CTO, Software developer/Engineer, designer, Project Manager, etc."
A simple question like how the weather can help you with your nervousness, will not have you oversharing and it will not take time from your interview.
I made a quick video about what to answer: https://lnkd.in/gd3yHczc
Here is an example of how to properly answer:
Example: "Hello, My name is [Your Name], I have [Number] years of experience in [Your field], I have a degree in [Your education] and I've been working as a [Your current job title]. I'm excited about the opportunity to apply my skills and experience to the [The job you are applying for] role at [Company name]. I'm passionate about [Your passion related to the job] and I believe I can make a positive impact on the team. My goal is to grow my career in the [Your field] and I believe this role aligns with that goal."
