Requirements
Minimum 6 month Machine Operator experience required
Strong mechanical aptitude of machine operations Mill and Lathe experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to run machine and run job with minimal supervision
Ability to meet production requirements as specified
Able to read and interpret blue prints, bill of materials, and other specifications to determine product requirements
Able to perform general math calculations
Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy.
Self-starter, with high degree of initiative, able to follow directions.
Reliable with strong work ethic, and Team Player mentality
Knowledge of general safety procedures
Programming knowledge a PLUS!
Basic understanding of G and M codes.
Job Duties
Operate, and tend lathe and turning machines to turn, bore thread and form materials to produce quality products.
Review specifications to determine setup procedure, machine sequence and dimensions
Confirms conformance of finished work, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary
Lift metal stock or work pieces manually, and position and secure them in machines, using fasteners and hand tools.
Calculates cycle times.
Initiates machine adjustments to ensure quality product.
Performs necessary deburring of parts using deburring tools and/or machines.
Inspects product and documents data as required.
Creates and maintains accurate data for company organizational records.
Responsible for periodic maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines
Helps organize and keep work area clean.
Performs other warehouse/machine shop duties as assigned.
