Cassi spent years working as a Surgical Tech before making the move into recruiting.

That experience gives her a perspective you can’t fake. She knows the pace, the pressure, the personalities, and the realities of the job because she’s lived them.

Surg Tech Week felt like the perfect time to introduce you to Sonny, a long-time GetMed traveler!

What he loves most about the job is pretty simple: getting to help people make their lives better. That part still matters, even after all the long days, new facilities, and fast-paced ORs.

And when it comes to travel, Sonny’s advice is refreshingly straightforward...know your stuff.

“Having a rock solid set of skills only makes you better equipped to go to a facility you’ve never been before.”

And just as important, stay humble.

“You’re not reinventing the wheel. Every place does it slightly different.”

That combination of confidence and humility is a pretty good formula for travel.

“I got you.”

After the unexpected loss of her youngest son, Nick, Kristi was navigating unimaginable grief while working night shifts and caring for her elderly father.

When a difficult family situation left Kristi unable to work one evening, GetMed traveler Joyce stepped in. Even after completing her own 12-hour shift, Joyce stayed to help find coverage and made sure Kristi could remain with her father.

When Kristi apologized, Joyce simply said, “Stop being sorry. I got you.”

Kristi later shared, “Joyce has never made me feel like a burden. She simply sees another person struggling and asks what she can do to help.”

Joyce, thank you for representing GetMed with compassion, teamwork, and heart. We are incredibly proud to have you in the GetMed family. 💙
