Transgender people experience violent at rates far greater than the average person. On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor those who lost their lives to this violence and raise awareness to the ever-present threat of violence against the transgender community. We can do better and we should to better to protect everyone within our community. If you are looking for ways to get involved or resources, GLAAD and PFLAG are excellent organizations to follow and connect with.
