Hearings at the WCAB are by video except trials and expedited hearings. In some ways its a lot more efficient since you save commute and wait times during the hearings but in other ways it seems to take a little longer to resolve cases or issues. Also, there is a lot less interactions with colleagues resulting in less exchange of ideas and information. Here at Uriarte & Carr LLP we are still on the fence as to which way we would prefer to practice.
