✨Inspired by a fellow show ski team, this year we introduced a weekly Golden Headband Award to recognize top-tier showmanship.
Each week, a secret committee will be watching for one guy and one girl who truly stand out. While smiling is part of it, this award is really about performance- bringing energy, enthusiasm, and presence both on and off the water. That could mean encouraging teammates, lifting the group’s energy, or delivering a standout performance in the show.
This first week's most deserved winners are Carter and Andrea. These two show so much hustle on and off the water.
Always willing to lend a hand, Carter is an absolute asset to the team. He has led the kids line with compassion and grit and he's been working hard on his Conventional doubles runs in and around a sports injury. Nothing gets Carter down and he greets every practice with a smile and willingness to put in the hard work. Oh, and did we mention he's playing David Rose 🌹 this summer!? Ew, David.
Where do we begin with Andrea? To our team, she is the ring leader on all things costume and she pours her heart and soul in to making us look sharp. A new graduate with a highly esteemed degree in Fashon Design, we feel like we are in good hands! On top of that, Andrea leads our ballet line with grace and gusto. Endless hours of working on dance preparation and videos in tandem with our show director, she runs a tight ship. Showing up hours before our shows to ensure the arms are right and the dance is tight, her commitment is unwavering.
For all of these reasons and many more, we started off on a high note with our Golden Headband winners for the first week of June.
Pay close attention at upcoming shows and you may just spot a golden headband on a skier or stage actor or even a driver - they'll be the ones with a little extra wide smile! ✨

If you’re new here, we’re the Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show Team — proud to be the only competitive water ski show team in Ohio! 🌊☀️

For more than 30 years, we’ve been entertaining crowds with high-energy shows featuring skiers of all ages and skill levels. From barefooting and jumps to pyramids, doubles, trios, and plenty of thrills (and occasional spills!), our team is built on a love of the sport and a strong sense of family.

There were highs, there were lows, and there were definitely a few moments worthy of the Wipeout Wednesday archives 😂 But after a long offseason, nothing beats being back together doing what we love most.

This is one of our most popular events of the summer—and spots go FAST. Head to the link 🔗 below to lock in your place on the water.

As part of the movement, this event is all about sharing the experience. Bring a friend, a family member, or anyone who’s never tried it before and give them their first ride—you might just hook them for life. Each individual participating should expect to be there for about 1 hour from start to finish with fitting for equipment, land instruction, shallow water, and then skiing.

No experience needed—just show up ready for sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of fun on the lake. We can’t wait to meet you!
