Murphy’s Family Staffing is looking for a dependable, experienced Equipment Operator who is not afraid to get in the dirt and be part of a real crew.

This is not a “sit in the machine with the A/C on all day” kind of job. This team works together to get the job done. Some days you’ll be operating equipment, other days you may be helping with utilities, dirt work, concrete, paving, hand work, cleanup, or whatever needs done to keep the job moving.

If you are the kind of operator who will hop out, grab a shovel, help your crew, and take pride in a finished job, this could be a great long-term home.

💰 PAY:
• $30/hour base pay on non-prevailing wage work
• Prevailing wage projects paying in the upper $60/hour range
• Full-time, steady, year-round work

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Safely operate heavy equipment on civil and utility projects
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfill, site prep, and material movement
• Work around underground utilities carefully and safely
• Assist with utility installation, concrete, paving, dirt work, and general site labor as needed
• Help keep the jobsite productive, clean, and moving forward
• Work as part of a crew, not just as “the guy in the machine”

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Experience operating heavy equipment in heavy civil, utilities, excavation, paving, or site work
• Willingness to do hands-on labor when needed
• Comfortable working around active utility lines and following safe digging practices
• Reliable, motivated, and able to show up ready to work
• Team-first attitude with no problem jumping in wherever needed
• Ability to pass a background check

Important: This position includes work at Muncy SCI for the next year or more, so candidates must be able to pass the required background screening and work professionally around a secure facility.
