Caring for my daughter has been very rewarding, but as any caregiver knows, it has its challenges. I spent countless nights researching supports that could make things a little easier for my daughter and I. I decided that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of individuals and their family's with similar challenges.

As parents and caregivers, we often have a vision in our minds of what we think our special needs child or loved one’s life should look like.

But it’s important to remember that their happiness, goals, and definition of fulfillment may look very different from ours.

A meaningful life does not have to fit society’s expectations—or even our own expectations—to still be beautiful, purposeful, and full of joy. 💛

Being a parent to a special needs child can be exhausting, emotional, and sometimes nothing like the life you once imagined for yourself.

But somewhere along the journey, you realize this life wasn’t a punishment… it was purpose.

And even through the hard days, the uncertainty, and the sacrifices, you learn that happiness can still exist here too.
