⚓️🇺🇸 A SPECIAL VISIT FROM ONE OF OUR OWN! 🇺🇸⚓️

Our cadets had the pleasure of meeting Jackson Lesher, a former Sea Cadet and a great example of where the program can take you!

🔹 Time in Sea Cadets: 2022–2025
🔹 Highest Rank Achieved: Petty Officer 2nd Class (PO2)
🔹 College: Massachusetts Maritime Academy 🎓⚓️

Jackson was sharp, confident, and very well-spoken. He took the time to talk with our cadets about his experience and explain how Sea Cadets helped him grow in confidence, leadership, and as a person, while preparing him for his future.

It was great for our cadets to hear firsthand from someone who was once in their shoes and to see how the lessons and experiences from Sea Cadets can stay with you long after the program.

We’re proud of Jackson and grateful that he took the time to come back and share his story with our cadets. We wish him continued success at Massachusetts Maritime Academy! 🇺🇸⚓️

🇺🇸 WE’RE BACK AND READY TO ROLL! ⚓️

Summer training may be over, but the memories, lessons, and accomplishments our Sea Cadets brought home will stay with them for a lifetime! ❤️🇺🇸

Our cadets have been busy training all across the United States, learning new skills, challenging themselves, making friendships, and representing our unit with pride. We are so excited to have everyone back and can’t wait to hear all about their experiences, adventures, and accomplishments!

We were also excited to welcome 11 visitors to our unit! It was wonderful to meet new faces, share what Sea Cadets is all about, and hopefully inspire more young people to be part of this amazing program.

One of the highlights of our time together was visiting the Arkansas State Veterans Home, where our cadets had the incredible opportunity to meet some amazing veterans and hear their stories. 🇺🇸 Hearing their experiences, learning from their service, and spending time with them was a reminder of the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy today.

We also had the opportunity to spend time with members of the American Legion, continuing to build those connections between our cadets and the veterans who have served our country.

Summer training gave our cadets new experiences. Coming home gives us the opportunity to share those experiences, learn from one another, and get ready for what comes next!

The summer is over, but the mission continues. ⚓️🇺🇸
We’re back, we’re motivated, and we’re ready to roll!

HOORAH! 🇺🇸⚓️

February was Annual Inspection. The Unit did well. Other Units from the Region came in so the Regional Director could conduct the inspections. Also, LTJG Hawkins conducted some medical training that included stopping the bleed and CPR.

What has the LR Division been up to lately? I’m glad you asked!!

In September (before the shutdown) the US Army Corps of Engineers gave the Unit a tour of the Greers Ferry Dam. It was a great tour! Thank you to all the members of the USACE that showed us around. Afterwards, the cadets enjoyed some time camping at the Greers Ferry Dam sites.
